Thankful Thursday

We are beyond blessed to have Gabriella as our daughter! The longer she is home with us the more apparent it is that God created this little girl for our family! Her laughter and giggles fill our home with joy. The way she likes her sweet tea and southern style strawberry pie is just precious! Watching her interact, love on and yes sometimes even fight with her brothers makes her the most perfect little sister. Lately when she wakes up before us she will come and kiss us on the cheek to wake us up, this is from a little girl who spent her first two months with us wiping our kisses off that we would give to her. Though she is still quite the independent little girl, the independence of wanting to feed, bathe and dress herself on a regular basis has softened as she has allowed us to become part of her life. I have the privilege of giving her a bath, dressing her and on occasion, even though she is preparing to turn three, she will open her mouth like a baby bird and allow us to feed her. She is everything we ever prayed for and so much more. She is our daughter who God solely created for our family and we are eternally thankful:)

Summer Fun...

Gabriella loves her baby pool out on the deck:)

She found true pleasure in dunking Nicholas!

Nicholas in turn found a little pleasure in the water from the hose "accidentally" hitting his sister!

Though it was a very hot weekend a great time was had by all!

Bursting with Excitement...

Gabriella's expression of "bursting with excitement" is exactly how we feel right now as God has opened a door that we have been in prayer about for a very long time!!! We can't share any details at this point, however we have such an incredible peace, paired with excitement at the plan that He is allowing to unfold!!! It is true that God knows and gives us the desires of our heart:)

While Mom and Dad were away....

the boys played football...

the football went into the pond and they felt the need to rescue it...

though there are many signs posted around our pond they didn't seem to recall seeing them. Needless to say we had a L-O-N-G discussion with the boys in regard to their "adventure" and it is clear that any future adventures will take place on dry land.
