Home is Where Your Heart Is...

As I have posted previously our family is moving home.  When I think about home; I believe home is where your heart is.  Home is where you are accepted for who you are, exactly how God made you including areas you may need to work on as well as areas that He has gifted you in.  Home is a feeling of security.  Home is knowing you have unconditional love and support from family and friends...even if life becomes difficult.

Our family has been blessed beyond measure in the last year in many ways.  First and foremost, after years of prayer of who our daughter may be in China, we were united with Gabriella and she has completed our family in the most special way!  I completed grad school which was a huge relief!  I have been blessed with a position I have only dreamed to serve in and I'm there; serving in a university that is growing and thriving and I believe it is because Christ is the center of it and it is reflected in everything that transpires there.  We've also been blessed with good health and the ability to spend quality time with family and friends.

Our family has also faced a big challenge this year; one that I will post about later this week...it's also the reason why our blog will be invitation only for a period of time so I can openly and honestly share what has gone on in regard to our family.  Don't get discouraged; 95% of all of our blog post will be uplifting but as an educator and a Christian I want to share the challenges we have faced and as we walk through this difficult journey I hope we can come out the other end and use it as an encouragement for others who may be facing the same challenge.

Teresa,
Thank you for including me in your blog invitations. i hope that all is well with you all. i miss you, my friend. :) Things are getting better with Audy, but, it is a SLOW process. We have faced multiple health issues while we have been here in California. Not with my girls and i, but, with our extended family. We are hoping to get home the last week in April.
Much love to all, and especially t you. i pray for you often.

I've been out of the blog world for so long that as I was skimming through your pictures, I see that I have missed a lot!! Your precious family is amazing. I'm sorry to hear that you've had some struggles this year, but with your invitation, I will continue to follow along and pray for all that you are facing.
Be blessed,
Courtney
